Panasonic has announced three new models in their compact superzoom camera category. These are essentially pocketable point-and-shoot bodies that you would want to take out to a party. The three models are Lumix DMC-SZ10, DMC-ZS45 (TZ57 in some regions) and Lumix DMC-ZS50 (also known as the TZ70); they will be priced at $199, $299 and $399 respectively.
Today at CES in Las Vegas Panasonic announced the LUMIX SZ10, a camera designed to be the best accessory for a night out with friends. Sleek and easily capable of being carried inside a slim-fit pair of jeans the LUMIX SZ10 comes with a 2.7” screen that boasts a 460,000 dots resolution. It has a 12x optical zoom and a wide 24mm lens.
2014 was the year of the selfie, 2015 simply promises more of it. The screen of the LUMIX SZ10 can tilt up to 180 ° just perfect for a well-timed selfie with your friends. But that’s not all. Just so that you don’t have to worry about those ‘extra five pounds’ on your face, the camera comes with a ‘sliming’ mode. Plus there is also a ‘soft skin’ mode which uses a technique called defocusing which can make the backgrounds soft-focused, while accentuating the face being photographed.
The LUMIX SZ10 has the all-important iA (Intelligent Auto) mode. This mode combines optical image stabilizer, intelligent ISO control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure as well as face Detection to make great looking images every time you press the shutter. A range of other features make still shooting indeed a joy. Apart from stills you could also shoot great looking videos in 720p HD.
This is not just a functional camera alone, but is designed to complement your fashion too. The exterior look and feel is very sleek as well. The brushed metal exterior comes in a range of colors and looks very stylish indeed.
To top it all the LUMIX SZ10 has Wi-Fi connectivity as well which is very easy to set up and makes it possible to connect and share images with any compatible devices.
